Evidences
were discovered, which date back to the Neolithic
age, Messapic materials and evidences from the
Roman age, which document that the zone was reoccupied
more times since of the late ancient age. The settlement
in the Metallic age is testified by the presence
of ceramic of a brown-reddish mixture.
Placed
on a hillock 200 metres away from the sea, the
Masseria Donnaloia has a unique landscape of the
sea and mountain.
